- 125 -(4) ‘Study abroad’ fairs (2006-2008)*There are surprisingly many MU students who don’t know what proceduresthey need to take and how they can find the appropriate place to study,though they are interested in studying abroad. The SEC of the Faculty ofEducation and Culture decided to hold a Study Abroad Fair, where the SECoffered MU students some information on study abroad. The SEC offeredsuch information as:・How many foreign students are studying at MU now. From how manycountries?・With what universities in other countries the Faculty of Education andCulture or MU has exchange agreements with a tuition waiver?・When are the recruitment periods of the applicants?・Information on MU elective course of ‘Cross-cultural Experience’ (2credit)・Some information on the courses/accommodation/living expenses,etc. at the sister colleges*The SEC tried to offer as much information as possible on study abroad to MUstudents for three years from 2006 to 2008 with the cooperation of GSO andthe University Co-op.*The SEC members of the Faculty of Education and Culture, some studentswho experienced study abroad, exchange students from sister colleges nowstudying at MU, and some GSO officials tried to answer the questions fromMU students.Time Place Participants1 June 28 & 29, 2006 University Co-op cafeteria About 402 May 23 & 24, 2007 University Co-op cafeteria About 353 May 26, 2008 University Co-op cafeteria About 30
