- 129 -(6) Reunion* When MU teachers visit the sister colleges or the teachers of MU’s sistercolleges visit MU, some former exchange students come together to welcomethem. Sometimes small numbers of former students talked with the visitingteachers over a cup of tea or coffee. But very often a big dinner party wasorganized for the visiting teachers. The former exchange students alwayscome together to express their gratitude to those who made their study abroadpossible. Most of them consider their study abroad the treasure of their life.(ⅰ) Evergreen Reunion (Jan.6, 1996 Hotel Kanazumi, Miyazaki)In 1996, Yuichi Watanabe and Hironobu Tomitaka, both of whom studiedat Evergreen before the Student Exchange Agreement was concluded (1986),proposed to hold an Evergreen Reunion, where ten former MU students whostudied at Evergreen, two Evergreen alumni who lived in Miyazaki, twoEvergreen students who were studying at MU at that time, Mr. Butterworthand I came together and had a good time talking about their experiences andrecent conditions.
