- 134 -(ⅸ) Mr. David Keen visited Miyazaki(December 3, 2005 ‘Hatsugan room’ Miyazaki Kanko Hotel, Miyazaki)Mr.David Keen, a professor at Dunedin College of Education and a liaisonman of the exchange program between DCE and MU, visited us in Miyazakiwhile he was staying at Gifu Shotoku Gakuen University as a visitingprofessor. Many MU students always feel grateful to him for everythinghe did to help them during their stay at DCE. This time he gave a lectureto MU teachers and students with the title of ‘A Bridge over the PacificOcean: Miyazaki---Dunedin.’ In the evening, the welcoming party was heldwith Dean Sakuda, 10 former MU exchange students, SEC members, TheSupport Committee members, and Dunedin-related teachers: Mr.Tanimotoaccepted Mr. Maxwell as a visiting professor at MU who started thisexchange program; Mr.Okabayashi, together with Mr.Hirase, started theshort-term exchange program with DCE; Mr.Kawano and Mr.Miwa werethe advisors of former DCE exchange students.*Front row from left:Mr.Hirase, Dean Sakuda, Mr.Keen, Mr.Yasuda(The Support Committee)*Back row from left: Ai Kawano(2000), Yuko Takeda(2004), Kazumi Ishihara(1993),Yasuyo Todaka(1992), Kumiko Aridome(2001), Naoko Kuroki(1990),Minako Moriyama(1996), Miki Yamada (1989), Mr.Miwa, Mr.Okabayashi,Ms.Hidaka(The Support Committee), Mr.Kawano, Mr.Nagatomo, Mr.Hullah(ⅹ)Mr. Keen visited Miyazaki again with six DCE students(November 29, 2006 ‘Uosa’ Miyazaki)Mr. Keen visited Miyazaki again with six DCE students who participatedin the short-term study program at MU (from Nov.26 to Dec.2). Mr.Keenparticipated in all the events of the program together with the students.After the program, former MU students came together to reward him byorganizing a small party, where two former MU exchange students and sixparticipants of short-term study program at DCE in 2003 took part in.
