- 136 -(?)Mr. Hirase visited TESC for the renewal of the student exchange agreement(September 23, 2007 ‘Rambling Jacks’ ,Olympia)Mr.Hirase, Chairman of SEC, visited Evergreen with the exchangeagreement signed by Dean Sakuda for the fourth renewal of the agreement.This year was the twentieth anniversary of the student exchange agreement.As usual, some former exchange students living near Olympia came together.Bill Downing was living in Olympia, while Mitch Gray, Kevin & Saori Cretin,and Matthew Hawk came from Seattle. Sarah Broderick came all the way fromPortland, Oregon to join us.(xiii) Mr.Hirase and Ms.Shimojo visited TESCfor the research on new admission system(January 31, 2009 ‘Ivar’s,’ Seattle)MU sent Mr.Hirase, Chairman of the SEC and Ms.Shimojo, an SECmember, to the sister colleges in English-speaking countries (TESC inU.S.A. and Otago University in NZ) where the academic year starts inSeptember, to investigatethe possibility ofintroducing the newacademic year systemstarting in September toMU.
