The students were required to writea composition on the topic they chose and torepeat it from memory. It was a good chancefor Japanese people to listen to the opinions onJapanese culture seen from the viewpoint offoreigners. But it was disappointing that noJapanese students came to the demonstrationspeech, despite the fact that it was widelypublished beforehand. The titles of the
