- 161 -(ⅱ) Miyazaki International Foundation (MIF) (Public Cooperation)In order to promote international exchange, MIF plans and carries outvarious events and social works. MIF also makes public the information onthese events and works and on daily living in Miyazaki through its website. Itgives information on home-stay and home-visit programs, and on the way ofregistration for a volunteer interpreter. It offers the Japanese languageclasses for foreigners, training classes for Japanese volunteers, andconsultation in some different languages.① ‘Miyazaki as foreigners see it’ exhibition (January 20~30, 2010)The foundation ran a prizecontests for photos, drawings,calligraphy works, poems andhandicrafts which express theirimpression and love of Miyazaki byforeigners living in MiyazakiPrefecture as a general rule. Theworks were exhibited on the 8th floor ofCalino Miyazaki Bldg. Thosepresent took a vote on which work wasthe best one in each category. Thosewho obtained most votes got a prize.The exhibition was also held inNobeoka, Miyakonojo, and Nichinan.Aerick Mackintosh, an exchangestudent from Evergreen (2009-2010),who was extremely good at drawingillustrations, entered this
