In November and December 2007, six members ofthe Association were kind enough to accept six NZ students for 4 nightswho were participating in ‘A short-term study and training of Dunedinstudents in Miyazaki’ (see p.39~p.41). During their home-stay, they had achance to make a tour for study with the families to the historic museumand to experience Japanese culture, such as flower arrangement and teaceremony.② BQ party (in May)To the BQ party after the General Meeting of the Association, manyforeign students were invited. They enjoyed communicating withAssociation members and town people.③ International cooking classSome foreign students were invited as an instructor of this ‘InternationalCooking Class’ and introduced cooking which is the pride of their homecountry. They thought of their home country for a while, enjoying cookingwith the Association members.④ Bus tourIn March every year, many foreign students went to ‘Girl’s Festival’ inAya-cho in a charted bus. They all enjoyed the Japanese traditionalfestival.(ⅵ) Miyazaki Bridge of Fellowship(MBF)Miyazaki Bridge of Fellowship was established in June 1982 with thepurpose of supporting foreigners living in Miyazaki, including foreignstudents, in their language learning and international exchanges. Theirmain jobs include an interpretation both for general use and sightseeing. In2000, one of the MBF members, Ms. Emiko Takashima, was officiallycommended by JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization) as one of 22excellent good-will interpretaters. In October 2014, Ms. Rika Kubota, arepresentative of MBF, gave a speech to high school students who want toget an English-related job with the title, ‘What I want to tell high schoolstudents as an interpreter.’① MBF bazaarIn June and November 1994, MBF held a charity bazaar for foreign
