- 89 -② Dispatch of Japanese language teachersIn March 2006, Mr.Nagatomo and Mr.Okabayashi, teachers of MUgraduate school JLS, stopped at SNU on the way back from Yan BianUniversity, where they asked Professor Jin, Zhe-Hui to be one of thepanelists at the International symposium planned to be held at MU in Julythat year. In the meeting with Mr.Nagatomo and Mr.Okabayashi, SNUrequested them to dispatch a Japanese language teacher. After thediscussion in the JLS meeting, we decided to dispatch a former graduatestudent who finished the Master’s course. We sent out Ms.Mikiko Mitsuishiwho finished the Master’s course in March as the first Japanese languageteacher to SNU. I stayed here for10 days and made friends with the studentsof Japanese Language Department throughclass observation, practice teaching and alanguage learning camp. We drank all nightlong with them on the last day of my stay. Iliked Korean dishes very much and I toldthem half-jokingly, ‘I’m going to live in Koreain the future!’ I had never dreamed that Imight teach Japanese language at SunchonUniversity.
