【プロフィール】
Hi I am Sandra Dhungana from Nepal. I came to Japan in February 2008. I am in the first year of my Master’s degree, working at the Department of Applied Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki. I Graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences form Pokhara University, Nepal, in 2005. My country is rich in Natural medicinal plants. So I am eager to pursue my studies in the related field. I feel very lucky to be here working in the esteemed laboratory under the good guidance of Prof. Dr. Masugi Maruyama. I am very thankful to him.

Currently I am studying the regulation of uPA and PAI-1 by proanthocyanidins in cultured Prostate cancer cells (PC3). I intend to test the anti-metastatic potential of grape seed proanthocyanidin extract in PC3 cells. Experimenting and trying to get new finding is really so exciting and challenging. Athena is really doing great service to empower and motivate women for research activities. I would like to thank all the members of Athena for providing me funds to do my research work.
