The First Grade
  • Entrance Ceremony and Orientation (April)
  • Registration of a Chief Advisor and two Assistant and Curriculum guidance (April)

The first semester(April～September)

  • Essential Subject Group：Researcher Ethics(Required subjects: 1 unit)
  • Essential Subject Group：Essential Subject(Required subjects: 2 units):
  • Advanced Research：Literature Research（1st）

The second semester(October～March)

  • Research fundamental subject group（tought by a chief advisor）
  • Advanced Research：Literature Research（2nd）

The Second Grade

The first semester(April～September)

  • Research fundamental subject group（tought by teachers other than a chief advisor）
  • Advanced Research：Seminar（1st）(June)

The second semester(October～March)

  • Advanced Research：Presentation of their research achievements at academic conferences

The Third Grade
  • Advanced Research：Seminar（2nd）(June)
  • Application of Doctoral Thesis and Final Examination (From November to January). See the following Application Schedule of Doctoral Thesis.

Schedule for Application of Doctoral Thesis

  • Judgment of the possibility for the application to Doctoral Thesis by a Chief Advisor and two Assistant and (November)
  • Judgment of the application to Doctoral Thesis by a Chief Advisor and two Assistant advisors (December)
  • Application to Doctoral Thesis by students (December)
  • Graduate School Management Committee (研究科運営委員会) will determine the acceptance of the application of Doctoral Thesis and members of the Doctoral Dissertation Committee (博士論文審査会) which consist of a chief judge（主査）and four assistant judge (副査) (December)
  • Chief judge and assistant judges will survey the Doctoral Thesis (December～January).
  • A Public Hearing and Final Examination (公聴会・最終試験)(January)
  • Determination of Conferment of Doctoral Degree by GraduateSchool Committee (March)
  • Conferment of Doctoral Degree (March)
