Overview

Students in our program will develop expertise in mechanical engineering, which is the foundation of manufacturing, and gain a deep understanding of mathematics and other fields of engineering. In addition, through our research on human- and nature-friendly manufacturing that leverages the local characteristics of the community and machine manufacturing for a super smart society that contributes to the community, we develop highly imaginative professional engineers ready to act.

Post-graduate progression

Approximately half of our graduates pursue graduate studies either at the University of Miyazaki or other universities. The remainder are predominantly employed as engineers in manufacturing. As mechanical engineering is a fundamental discipline with demand in a wide range of industries, the field provides a strong educational background for finding work in the manufacturing industry with its many well-known companies. Our graduates and graduate students are greatly in demand at mechanical and electrical manufacturer companies, as well as by other companies involved in manufacturing, including those in the IT and chemical industries.
