CADIC Special Seminar "Reverse Genetics of Reoviridae Viruses" - Towards Clinical Applications will be held on 17th December 2021.
The lecturer, Dr. Kobayashi of Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Osaka University, was the first in the world to develop a reverse genetics system for segmented double-stranded RNA viruses (Reoviridae) and to establish an experimental system for the artificial production of recombinant viruses.
He has used this to create genetically modified reoviruses and is working to develop safer and more effective tumour lysing reoviruses.
We would like to inform everyone concerned and invite them to attend.
