As a result of analyzing 49 feces collected at the migratory bird migratory site in Sadowara, Miyazaki City on November 21 (Monday) at Center for Animal Disease Control (CADIC) , the University of Miyazaki, one mallard feces sample was found to be a highly pathogenic bird. Influenza virus (H5N1 subtype) was isolated.
