On November 6th, the first case of lumpy skin disease in Japan was confirmed at a cattle farm in Fukuoka Prefecture, and cases have since been confirmed at another farm in Fukuoka Prefecture and one in Kumamoto Prefecture.
If infection with the disease is confirmed, it is necessary to refrain from moving or shipping cows, raw milk, etc. for a certain period of time, which is expected to impose an extremely heavy economic burden on the farm.
Please take thorough measures to prevent the introduction of the virus, including using the leaflet created by Miyazaki Prefecture.
