On Wednesday November 2nd, 2022, a face-to-face orientation for international students was held for the first time in three years, and more than 60 international students participated.This orientation introduced Japanese traffic rules, employment in Japan, and learning Japanese language.
令和(れいわ)４年(４ねん)11(１１)月(がつ)2(２)日(にち)水曜日（すいようび）、約(やく)３年(ねん）ぶりに、対面(たいめん)で留学生向(りゅうがくせいむ)けのオリエンテーションが開催(かいさい)され、60名(めい)以上(いじょう)の留学生(りゅうがくせい)が参加(さんか)しました。今回(こんかい)のオリエンテーションでは、主(おも)に、日本(にほん)の交通(こうつう)ルールや日本(にほん)での就職(しゅうしょく)、日本語(にほんご)学習(がくしゅう)についての説明(せつめい)を行(おこな）いました。
To learn Japanese traffic rules more, we invited Ms. Takahashi from the Miyazaki Prefectural Police Headquarters South Police Station. She explained what to do in the event of a traffic accident and bicycle insurance. Since Japan has many traffic rules to follow, the audience listened really carefully.
日本(にほん)の交通(こうつう)ルールでは、宮崎県(みやざきけん)警察(けいさつ)本部(ほんぶ)南警察(みなみけいさつ)署(しょ)の高橋(たかはし)さんより、交通(こうつう)事故(じこ)を起（お）こしてしまったときの対応(たいおう)や自転車(じてんしゃ)保険(ほけん)のことなどについて、説明(せつめい)をしていただきました。日本(にほん)には、守（まも）らなければならない交通(こうつう)ルールがたくさんあるので、皆（みな）さん熱心(ねっしん)に聞（き）いていました。
The staff of Capat+ (Capatas), a division cultivating human resources who will lead the region in the future, introduced itself and attractive events they have been working on. They are planning a bus tour event held on December 20th. If you are an international student at UoM and interested in working in Japan, you can apply online for the tour.
日本(にほん)での就職(しゅうしょく)については、学(まな)び・学生(がくせい)支援(しえん)機構(きこう) 地域(ちいき)人材(じんざい)部門(ぶもん)（キャパタス(きゃぱたす)）のスタッフより、日本(にほん)での就職(しゅうしょく)につながる情報(じょうほう)やイベントについて説明(せつめい)をしていただきました。12月(がつ)20日(はつか)には、バスツアーのイベントが開催(かいさい)されますので、日本(にほん)で就職(しゅうしょく)を考（かんが）えている方(かた)は、ぜひ参加(さんか)してみてくださいね。
In the last part of the orientation, we brought some Japanese language teachers on stage introducing how to study the language. We believe learning Japanese language is very important for international students to lead their daily lives in Miyazaki comfortably. Even knowing basic phrases like "thank you so much.", "May I have this?", "Please help me." would go a long way, and UoM would like to support their Japanese study.
日本語(にほんご)学習(がくしゅう)については、本学(ほんがく)の日本語(にほんご)教員(きょういん)より、日本語(にほんご)の学習(がくしゅう)方法(ほうほう)、日本語(にほんご)の先生(せんせい)の紹介(しょうかい)などについて説明(せつめい)していただきました。「ありがとうございます」「これが欲（ほ）しいです」「助（たす）けてください」など、宮崎(みやざき)での日常(にちじょう)生活(せいかつ)を、日本語(にほんご)を使（つか）ってより快適(かいてき)に過（す）ごすために、日本語(にほんご)を学（まな）ぶことはとても大切(たいせつ)ですので、留学生(りゅうがくせい)には、ぜひ日本語(にほんご)を勉強(べんきょう)していただきたいです。
After the orientation, we took a very nice photo together. Look how big our smiles are! We would like to thank all the participants for joining the event.
