Associate Professor Akatsuki Saito presented the research results

In a joint research project, a research team including the University of Miyazaki and Miyazaki City confirmed that a non-invasive analytical method for assessing the condition of human skin and the body using RNA* contained in sebum collected with oil blotting film can also be applied to the detection of infectious viruses in cats. On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Associate Professor Akatsuki Saito of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture (concurrently affiliated with the Center), held a press briefing on the results of this research at the Miyazaki Animal Welfare Center.
